Ramsbury Amenity Group

AIMS

The Ramsbury Amenity Group, a registered charity, is the local Civic Trust Society for Ramsbury and Axford, and has been in existence since 1977.

We aim to support initiatives outside the scope of the Parish Council, which will be of benefit to the Parish, and to help the development of local plans and policies. We have been involved in the Village Design Statement, adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance, and in helping to enable the village to take part in the Best Kept Village competition. We are actively engaged in work in the Churchyard wildlife area, in additional tree planting, in the preparation of Walk Maps and Cycle paths, and in locally guided walks.

We organise a programme of visits and hold an annual autumn supper. Suggestions for talks on suitable topics and outings are welcomed.

We publish monthly a Village Dairy and Calendar of Events which are distributed throughout Ramsbury and Axford.
