The Parish Council comprises fifteen Councillors,
assisted by the Clerk to the Council, who are responsible for
- advising the Kennet
District Council on local Planning
issues;
- maintaining the Play Areas &
Equipment;
- maintaining the various public Rights
of Way, and
- managing the provision of various Services
such as grass cutting, emergency heating & shelter.
The Council produces a range of booklets and other documentation
on matters relating to life in our community. A Freedom of Information document lists the information available from Ramsbury & Axford Parish Council and gives other details about its procedures.
Recent publications (available from the Post Office) include:

- Millenium Booklet
The Ramsbury Oral History Project
has been set up by the Parish Council to capture for posterity memories
of everyday village life. The project will run throughout the year.

Members of the public are welcome at all Parish
Council meetings and have the opportunity to raise issues under
the Public Forum agenda item.
