Ramsbury is a pre-medieval village steeped in history and tradition. Situated in the picturesque Kennet valley; Marlborough is 7 miles to the West and Hungerford 5 miles East. Before the A4 was built (by-passing Ramsbury) the village was the most important centre for the area. To this day there is a strong connection with the past, maintained by the modern Bishop of Ramsbury. Today's community boasts a thriving primary school, a large surgery, shops and a wide range of clubs, societies and services.
