Baydon
is found on the old Roman Road of Ermin Street that dips and sweeps
through undulating countryside, rising to over 760 feet above sea level at Baydon. The total population
of Baydon is approximately 530. |

Aldbourne, situated in the north-east
of Wiltshire, is a downland village of similar size to Ramsbury and
is set in a chalk basin some 350 feet above sea level. Its name
derives from the winterbourne which flows through the village. |
