| Ramsbury & Aldbourne Bowls Club | Residents of Ramsbury & Axford and the surrounding community have been able to enjoy lawn bowls for over 50 years, playing on a small picturesque riverside green in the centre of Ramsbury, immediately behind the modern office opposite the ‘Bell’. To encourage new members the Club operates a ‘Come and Have A Go’ policy. |
| Ramsbury & Axford Golf Society | The Ramsbury and Axford Golf Society (RAGS) was formed in the autumn of 2006, to build on the long running annual Ramsbury Cup golf event. The intent is to hold a number of games throughout the year at different golf courses, plus take advantage of the competitive, social and fun aspects involved. New members are always welcome and current membership of a golf club is not a requirement. |
| Ramsbury Football Club | Ramsbury Football Club, founded in 1887, is a thriving sporting
facility available to the residents of Ramsbury and surrounding
local villages in the Kennet valley. There are nearly 200 members
of the club, encompassing girls, boys and seniors. The club provides
coaching for all ages from under 4’s through to under 13’s
and seniors. Excluding the under 6 and below, all teams play competitively
in the North Wiltshire District Youth and Minor League, with the
seniors playing in the Swindon & District league. |
| Ramsbury Netball Club | Ramsbury Netball Club meets every Thursday evening at 7 - 8.30 pm at the MUGA in the Recreation Ground. We have only been running since summer 2008. All abilities are welcome and the age range is from teenagers to fifty plusers! We are a very social club. We have already played a men vs. women match which was most entertaining. In the future we hope to play some friendly matches with other teams in the local area. Many people come along to get some competitive team exercise whilst others come to meet new people from the village. If you are interested in coming along please contact Lynn Jauncey on 520419. |
